The mandate of Gauteng Growth and Development Agency (GGDA) is to develop and maximize Gautengs booming economy, by investing in and promoting the province in meaningful ways.

The GGDA is the first point of contact for smart investors and entrepreneurs who need access to unlocking new value in Gauteng, South Africa, the Southern African Development Community region and beyond.

The GGDA developed the Gauteng Opportunity Atlas in an attempt to spatially define economic opportunities in Gauteng.The atlass main objective is to provide spatial expression of economic opportunities in different areas around Gauteng by means of a Geographic Information Systems platform.
